Can rabbits eat blueberries? They also like to taste different fruits and vegetables daily. Best foods for bunnies are hay, green leaves, basil and broccoli and many more. I discussed those in my previous post. If you like to feed fruits, you need to give them seedless fruitsd less fruits.

2.Blueberries have a high amount of Antioxidant amount. Antioxidant are the ones who protect our cells from free radicals. Free radicals can damage our cells.Free radicals are made by when body process our foods. Our body needs to remove free radicals, and if it is weak, that can cause some problems. Smoking, UV exposure and some environmental factors can increase the production of free radicals. Blueberries are the best fruits with a high amount of Antioxidants

3.Blueberries prevents DNA damages
DNA Damages happen every day in our body .It’s natural incident of our body and it happen while we grow older.

4.Blueberries can lower the blood Pressure and Prevent Heart Diseases.

5.Improve memory and brain functions.

So Can rabbits eat blueberries? Remember that I told you to need to feed seedless fruits to your rabbit? Blueberries also have tiny seeds. Remember that strawberries also have seeds? Blueberries have same size seeds, and it is difficult to notice even for the rabbit. For more safety, you can remove the seeds of blueberries. But it is very hard and boring. Anyway blueberry seeds are too small to make problems of rabbit’s digestive system. So it is ok to feed blueberries.

Benefits of blueberries for rabbit :

I said blueberries have a high amount of Antioxidants. But it has some more valuable minerals also. They are very helpful for brain function and repairing cells. If you like to feed your pet rabbit with blueberries, choose freshly picked ones every time. Don’t feed frozen ones.By freezing, blueberries lost most of their valuable nutrients. So make sure to pick good blueberries every time to your pet rabbit. But don’t give a full bag of blueberries for them. Blueberries have a natural sugar called fructose. Excess natural sugar can overweight your pet rabbit and cause some problems afterwards. Give blueberries as a dessert after rabbit consumes his basic meal like hay or leaves.
